How it happened

Enjoy Technology, founded by former Apple and JCPenney retail chief Ron Johnson, ran 'mobile stores' bringing commerce to customers' homes, merging via SPAC at roughly a $1.2B enterprise value in October 2021. It ran out of cash within months, filed for Chapter 11 in June 2022, and sold its US operations to Asurion.
