How it happened

Good Technology was a U.S. enterprise mobile-security firm that reached a ~$1.1B valuation in 2014 and filed to go public. Weak financials forced it to abandon its IPO, and it was acquired by BlackBerry in 2015 for about $425M-$430M, less than half its peak private valuation, a widely cited example of a marked-down unicorn.
