How it happened

SimpliVity was a U.S. hyperconverged enterprise infrastructure company that reached a ~$1.1B valuation in 2015. As competition intensified in the data-center market, it was acquired by Hewlett Packard Enterprise in January 2017 for about $650M, roughly 41% below its peak private valuation.
