How it happened

Home24 is a German online furniture retailer backed by Rocket Internet that reached a roughly $1.1B valuation in 2015. Heavy losses and slowing growth led to a markdown, and by its 2018 IPO and subsequent trading the company was valued well below $1B, roughly 57% under its peak, before later being taken private.
