How it happened

Razor Group, founded in Berlin in 2020 by former Rocket Internet managers Tushar Ahluwalia and Christoph Gamon with CTO Shrestha Chowdhury, bought third-party Amazon sellers and scaled their brands. Much of its early buying power came from debt: a $400M round in March 2021 was $375M of loans.

A $125M equity round that November took it past a $1B valuation. TechCrunch reported a $1.2B valuation, citing company sources, when Razor closed an €80M Series C and absorbed rival Stryze in April 2023.

SEC filings show BlackRock Credit Strategies Fund marked its Razor warrants, which track the share price, from about $11,570 each in mid-2022 to zero by June 2024. In August 2025 Razor merged with Infinite Commerce, another Victory Park Capital investment, keeping the Razor name.
